Can you imagine that back then people actually sat and listened carefully for each other for a whole hour and more. Can you imagine yourself having the patience and the concentration to listen to a three hours debate without interruptions?
There were some things in our history as the ability to really listen, talk and communicate without the constant need for interruptions and distractions.
I suppose no TV culture can tolerate these kind of debates anymore but thinking of these debates I feel that the time frame is not crucial. The idea of reviving this kind of debates even with shorter speeches can really be interesting.
