Going on a tour in Washington DC is a great chance to absorb some American history. Just check the list of all the historical places you can visit there.
I really plan on going there someday as I love history and being in the places when meaningful events took place can be magical not unlike holding old books in a library.
Actually in order to see some of the places I have to plan a few days visit otherwise as I know myself I’ll end up sitting in a coffee shops.
